The New Dominion

The Awakened Land, a regularly updated feature produced by The New Dominion writer Opke Hessip, is a serial translation of renowned Uyghur author Abdurehim Ötkür’s Oyghanghan Zemin.

The Awakened Land picks up where Ötkür’s previous novel, Tracks (Iz) leaves off, dramatizing the period from 1928 — and the plot to assassinate Yang Zengxin — through 1942.
