Thanks for the compliment!  The post is indeed updated now, and we are about to put up a poll where anyone can vote for the most important event of 2007.

At neweurasia, we focus on the former Soviet republics, but as you can see we try to include a broader sweep for these surveys and occasional guest posts (Afghanistan, Mongolia, Xinjiang, etc.)  Perhaps you might be interested in contributing the Western China perspective for next time?  If so, send us an email!</description>
