As far as I know, the guys who translated the American movies usually do it from Chinese subtitles. I looked at the Chinese subtitles, where it is written as " 该死的斯巴达", which is more like " Damned Sparta". In my observation, even the Chinese dubbers never make full subtitles of all the language of the movie. haha, interesting.
